Who Am I?
My name is Olivia. I am a lover of food. When I grew up, the center most place of the household was either the kitchen, or the dining room table. When family gathers for a hot, home cooked meal, it is where most of family talks about things. We find out who just got engaged, who is having a baby or we learn of family coming into town.
I grew up most of childhood at my grandmother’s house. Dona Julia. I would always love to be in the kitchen with her when she would make her fresh flour tortillas or she would make me a bowl of some delicious sopita (pasta with a chicken tomato soup) “Soplele mija!” She’d open the kitchen window and my hot soup would cool down with the breeze from outside. I had always cherished time in the kitchen with my grandma.
